Made me too nervous as it restricts just enough flow at idle the pressure drop was enough I said nope. But I am running a magnesium case. After the house is built I am going to pull the engine apart and change the pump out. Car goes into storage for a year now so I am shelving all the projects

Only issue I had installing on 914 is the shortness of the hose and a very tight 90 deg. angle. I made a nice 90 out of 3/4 copper pipe, works great now four years in.Attached Image

Been running one for several years on a stock factory -6. Gets a little tight with heat exchangers but doable. My main reason for installing was leak back into the sump/case (and then the pan I put underneath) when the car would sit for a couple months.
I always watch the pressure on a gauge both at startup and idle after it is warmed up, haven't had a problem. Oil pump suction will pull the valve open; spring tension is just enough to keep the leaking in check.
Worth the money in my opinion.
